A Little Life Book Cover

A 3-D book cover redesign for "A Little Life" by Hanya Yanagihara. A tragic yet beautiful story that follows the life of four friends in New York and the trials and tribulations that surround them. This design will capitalize on the popularity, as well as celebrate the awards and accolades that this book has been awarded. This project is a 3-dimensional layered book cover of Jude and Willem's apartment on Lispenard St. This piece is made out of recycled cardboard boxes to portray the constant movement throughout the story. It also shows the movement through life, how we pack and carry ourselves through different stages and how we can take or leave so much of ourselves in the past. The cardboard was cut and engraved on a glowforge, giving it the architectural feeling of New York scenery.
